Caroline Ford (born 13 May 1988) is an English actress. She is best known for her roles in the Netflix series Free Rein and the Prime series Carnival Row as Sam and Sophie Longerbane, respectively.
Caroline Ford was born on 13 May 1988 in Chorleywood, United Kingdom. She was born to a Trinidadian, Scottish, and Chinese mother and an English father.
Ford earned a Master’s degree in Art History from St Andrews University after attending the Carol Kristian Theatre School. Shealso tried modeling, signing with Edinburgh’s Stolen modeling agency. Ford studied at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art in 2013.
Ford first appeared on television in the BBC medical drama Casualty in 2010. She appeared in a number of short films the following year, including Nick Rowland’s Fair Belles and Eitan Arrusi’s The Crypt. Other films in which she has appeared include Don Michael Paul’s Lake Placid: The Final Chapter and Simon Blake’s Still. Ford also played Maxine in The Callback Queen in 2013.
She starred as Peshet in Fox’s action-adventure drama series Hieroglyph in 2014. The show, however, was canceled before it could air. Ford played Lilith in the second season of Sleepy Hollows the same year, before starring as Spindle in Travis Beacham’s short film The Curiosity in 2015.
She then starred opposite Meghan Markle in the 2015 film Anti-Social as Rochelle. Ford landed the part of Sophie Longerbane in the Prime series Carnival Row after playing Sam in the Netflix children’s TV series Free Rein in 2017.
