Professional Life and Career

Kai Forbath started his football career from Notre Dame High School in Sherman Oaks. Later, he played for the football team from 2006 to 2010 at UCLA. He also became the first UCLA player to record five field goals of at least 50 yards in a season, including a freshman-best 54-yards versus Oregon.

He was projected as the second-best kicker in the 2011 NFL Draft but he was not selected in the Draft.  On August 2, Forbath was signed by the Dallas Cowboys as an undrafted free agent. However, he was abandoned by the Cowboys, having never participated in a practice with the team on 16th April 2012.

After that, the Washington Redskins signed Forbath on 9th October 2012. He played his first match for Redskins against the Minnesota Vikings in Week 6 on 14th October 2012.

On 19th October 2015, he joined The New Orleans Saints. He played his first match for Saints against the Indianapolis Colts on 25th October 2015.

On 16th November 2016, The Minnesota Vikings signed Forbath to a one-year contract.  On 20 March 2018, He re-signed with the Vikings. Similarly, on 14th December 2018, he joined Jacksonville Jaguars as insurance for the injured Josh Lambo. He played three matches for Jacksonville Jaguars.

On 29th November 2019, the New England Patriots signed him. He left the New England Patriots after playing the match against Houston Texans. On 9th December 2019, he was signed by the Dallas Cowboys.
