Jeff Horn is an Australian professional boxer. He was the WBO welterweight champion from 2017 to 2018. As an amateur, Jeff represented Australia at the 2012 Olympics and reached the quarterfinals in the light welterweight category.

Jeff Horn: Professional Career, Boxing

In 2009 and 2011, Jeff won his Australian title as an amateur. He was selected to represent Australia for London Olympics after winning his third Australian title and first Oceania title in 2012.

In the 2012 Olympics, he played in a total of three matches but lost all of them. His first match was against Gilbert Coombe, the second with Abderrazak Houya, and third was against Denys Berinchyk.

He professionally fought and won against Naoufel Ben Rabah in March 2013. In 2016, he defeated Randall Bailey, Rico Mueller, and Ali Funeka. Famously, Jeff has also defeated one of the best boxers of his generation, Manny Pacquiao in 2017. This was the match that made Jeff the WBO welterweight champion. However, the result was hugely controversial with many of the pundits and experts claiming that Manny had done enough to retain his title.

Pacquiao also claimed that Jeff got away with a number of dirty tactics in the fight including the use of illegal blows including elbows and headbutts, which caused him to be cut on three different occasions during their bout.

However, Horn has lost two boxing matches in 2019 with Michael Zerafa and Terence Crawford. His loss against Crawford lost him the title of Welterweight champion. Till now, Jeff has a record of 20 wins, 1 draw and 2 losses in his professional career.
