Dagmara Dominczyk is a Polish-American actress and author. She has made her remarkable appearances in Rock Star, The Count of Monte Cristo, Kinsey, Trust the Man, Lonely Hearts, Running with Scissors, Higher Ground, and The Letter. She has published a novel called The Lullaby of Polish Girls.
Dagmara Dominczyk was born in Kielce, Poland, on July 17, 1976, to parents Mirek and Aleksandra Dominczyk. Her father was an Amnesty International member, and her mother was a member of the Polish Solidarity movement.
Her younger sisters, Marika Dominczyk and Veronika Dominczyk, were her primary caregivers. Also, her two siblings are also professional actors.
Owing to her parents’ political affiliations, she and her family relocated to New York City in 1983. She is of white origin and of Polish-American nationality.
She attended Manhattan’s Fiorello H. LaGuardia High School. She went on to Carnegie Mellon University’s School of Drama, where she earned her bachelor’s degree in 1998.
Dagmara Dominczyk made her acting debut in Patrick Marber’s Broadway production of Closer in 1999, portraying Anna Friel.
The following year, she starred alongside Ben Stiller and Edward Norton in the romantic comedy feature film Keeping the Faith as Claire.
