She works for ESPN as a college football reporter alongside Brent Musburger and Jesse Palmer, and she has also served as a sports analyst for women’s volleyball and basketball games at the college level.

Finally, Maria Taylor served as a sports analyst on ESPN 2 as a sideline reporter in 2013. She’s been a guest host on Jalen Rose’s Get Up! and has been a part of ESPN’s NBA draft coverage.

Taylor took over as the College GameDay reporter in 2017, replacing Samantha Ponder and ABC Saturday Night Football. She is one of ESPN’s most well-known hosts, and she collaborates with well-known reporters such as Laura Rutledge, Kaylee Hartung, and Cary Champion.

Maria and ESPN reached an agreement for the second time after her contract expired in August of 2018 and signed a five-year contract.

In September 2018, Maria interviewed Alabama’s coach Nick Saban putting forward a controversial question, “Everyone had questions about who was going to start at QB when this game started, what answers did you have about your QBs after watching both of them play tonight?”

Saban instead replied violently and said:

“Well, I still like both guys. I think both guys are good players. I think both guys can help our team, alright? So, why do you continually try to get me to say something that doesn’t respect one of them? I’m not going to! So quit asking!”
