In August 2010, he contracted the Fenerbahçe Ülker, an experienced basketball squad based in Istanbul, Turkey, during the 2010-2011 season. He had a booming season with Fenerbahçe Ülker, supporting the team reaches the Final Four of the EuroLeague.

In extra, he averaged 10.5 points, 5.8 rebounds, and 1.4 assists per match in the EuroLeague while hitting 57.1% from the field specialization and 73.9% from the free-throw line stripe. He even played in the Turkish Basketball League (TBL) for Fenerbahçe Ülker, averaging 9.9 points and 5.1 rebounds per match.

May’s performances supported Fenerbahçe Ülker to reach the finals of the TBL, but they lost to Beşiktaş Milangaz in the title series. As a coach

After withdrawing from playing professional basketball in 2013, May started his coaching career as an assistant coach at his alma mater, the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He devoured three seasons as an assistant trainer under head coach Roy Williams, helping the Tar Heels beat the 2017 NCAA Championship.

In 2018, he was designated the head coach of the varsity boys’ basketball team and squad at Hough High School in Cornelius, North Carolina. He expended two seasons coaching at Hough, guiding the group to a 25-3 record and the second round of the state playoffs in his 2nd season.

In 2020, May was employed as an assistant coach for the NBA’s Phoenix Suns, performing under head coach Monty Williams. In his first season with the team, the Suns progressed to the NBA Finals, where they failed the Milwaukee Bucks in six matches.
