Victoria Asher is most well-known for her work as a pianist. For the pop band Cobra Starship, she played the keytar (a small keyboard placed on a neck strap). She also founded the Optimo band in Los Angeles and pursued a solo career.

In 2007, she and her Cobra Starship bandmates joined +44, The Academy Is…, and Paul Wall on the Honda Civic Tour, which was headlined by Fall Out Boy. On +44’s song “Make You Smile,” she sang in place of Carol Heller.
A story circulated in August of that year that she, Fall Out Boy frontman Patrick Stump, and Ashlee Simpson had collaborated on a song on Asher’s Myspace. Stump allegedly played bass and drums, and Simpson allegedly assisted Asher with the lyrics.
Asher continues to compose her own songs, posts and makes tour video montages as a solo artist. In March 2016, she self-released her first single, “Protect This Love.” Her second single (a collaboration with Jon Walker titled “Push Comes to Shove”) was uploaded to her YouTube channel nine months later and released the next day on iTunes.
Later that year, she partnered with her boyfriend Trent Culkin to buy Muted Color and turn it into a production company and artist collective.
Victoria hired Helena Hawkes in 2019 after meeting her while working at Blumhouse Productions. In 2020, Victoria, Helena, and Trent will reveal the new and improved Muted Color.
