Russian mathematician Konstantin died on October 29, 1921, in Sevastopol, Ukraine. Andreev died at the age of 73 due to a throat tumor.

Education

He takes an academic degree in Mathematics from Imperial Moscow University from 1867 to 1871. Thereafter, after two years of graduation, he received his Master’s Degree.

Career and Professional Life

Proceeding on to his profession, Konstantin was a famous Russian mathematician. He was globally popular for his work on projective geometry. Moreover, he established the Kharkiv Mathematical Society in 1879.

He took the procedure for Ph.D. studies at the University of Kharkiv under the guidance of one of his teachers. He started teaching university lectures there in January 1874.

Thereafter, he was upgraded to full-time professor after successfully defending his Ph.D. thesis “On a geometric formation of planar curves” in February 1875. Andreev was transmitted to Europe for one and a half years of training at the end of 1876.

There he performed his thesis, “On geometric correspondences as involved to the problem of constructing curves.” In February 1879, he was nominated full-time professor of Kharkiv University and Kharkiv Technology Institute.

Similarly, he was selected as a correspondent associate of the Russian Academy of Sciences in 1884 and showed his work “On Poncelet Polygon” at a summit in La Rochelle, France. Later, he returned to Moscow in 1898 to take up an appointment as a professor at Moscow University’s Department of Mathematics.

Simultaneously, he evolved as director of the Alexander School of Business until 1907, and he performed broadly in the secondary education system. In extra, he was the preferred dean-elect of the Physics and Mathematics Faculty at Moscow University from 1905 to 1911, where he created the standard lecture cycle system.

However, he had to quit as dean and stop lecturing in 1911 due to a throat tumor that he had worked on in Europe in 1913. He then returned to education at Moscow University until 1917. In October 1921, he died near Sevastopol.
