Cheryl Scott started her career in Philadelphia as an intern at WCAU-NBC10, which gave her exposure and helped her to understand the basics of forecasting. She gained experience through the help of the Earthwatch team.

In 2007, she joined at WSEE-TV in Eire and worked as a Television lad and She also provided the forecasts for a 24-hour Caribbean Weather Channel.

She joined WBIR-TV, NBC affiliate station, in Knoxville as the weekend reporter. In September 2011 she moved to NBC 5 as morning and weekend weathercaster.

Currently, she is working at WMAQ-TV and ABC7 as a meteorologist and Weather reporter and Caster.
