Arly Lariviere was born on August 22, 1972, in Cap-Haïtien, Haiti to African descent parents. He grew up in Cap-Haïtien, Haiti, and did his schooling there. Arly Lariviere’s father Daniel Lariviere was the lead singer and composer for the great Haitian band Tropicana D’Haiti.

Arly is the 2nd oldest of 5 children, three boys, and 2 girls. He grew up listening to his father sing in Tropicana. At a young age, he and other friends formed Lakol D’Haiti, which was a very successful young band in Cap-Haitien.

Later in the 90s, he moved to Florida, United States to pursue music. Also, he is a Haitian and belongs to Black Ethnicity. Further, his zodiac sign is Leo, and practices Vodou, a creolized religion mostly practiced in Haiti and Western African countries.
